The ‘Metzgete’ is an autumn tradition here in Switzerland which has
experienced a tremendous revival in recent years.
So this autumn we’ll again be serving up its popular sausages along with
any other dishes. Thomas Janser, chef de cuisine at the Bären, will be
delighted to take you on this, the second year’s culinary journey of the justly
Old-school meat lovers are in for a treat – the season of black pudding, liver
sausage, bacon, sauerkraut and dried beans is about to begin. Originally a
celebration for farmers and butchers, we celebrate the ‘Metzgete’ with our
nose-to-tail dishes. Get in the mood with typical, authentic Swiss folk music
and have a relaxing evening in cosy surroundings.
